Ömür Gürgen urodził się w 1992 roku w dystrykcie Erbaa w prowincji Tokat w Turcji. Postanowił zostać reżyserem, gdy miał 11 lat. Ukończył szkołę podstawową w ”Erbaa Primary School”. Po ukończeniu ”75. Yıl Erbaa High School” w 2013 roku rozpoczął studia na Wydziale Radia Telewizji i Kina Uniwersytetu Ege. W tym samym okresie pracował jako asystent w warsztacie artystycznym Oğuza Yalçına. Kontynuował proces asystentury, który rozpoczął w latach szkolnych, przy serialu dramatycznym ”Medcezir” w Stambule i miał okazję pracować jako asystent reżysera w wielu serialach, filmach i reklamach. Jego krótkie filmy ”Arayış, Kayıp Hazineler” brały udział w festiwalach. W 2015 roku pracował jako asystent reżysera na ”Ege University”. W tym samym okresie odbył szkolenie w zakresie dramatu i pisania scenariuszy w Cinema Club i ”Ege University Cartoon Comic Strip Community”. Od 2016 roku mieszka w Stambule i kontynuuje swoją karierę reżyserską.

Ömür Gürgen was born in 1992 in the Erbaa district of Tokat province of Türkiye. He decided to become a director when he was 11 years old. He finished primary school as ”Erbaa Primary School”. After graduating from ”75. Yıl Erbaa High School”, he entered Ege University Radio Television Cinema Department in 2013. During the same period, he worked as an assistant at Oğuz Yalçın’s Art Workshop. He continued his assistantship process, which he started during his school years, with the drama series ”Medcezir” in Istanbul and had the opportunity to work as an assistant director in many series, films and commercials. His short films ”Arayış, Kayıp Hazineler” were eligible to compete in festivals. In 2015, he worked as an assistant director at 2 different clubs at ”Ege University”. He received drama and screenwriting training at the Cinema Club and ”Ege University Cartoon Comic Strip Community” during the same period. He has been living in Istanbul since 2016 and continues his path to directing, starting from the lowest level.
