Hussen Ibraheem is a Lebanese filmmaker born in Beirut. From an early age, he cultivated a deep passion for the arts, beginning with studies in Interior Architecture before fully dedicating himself to filmmaking. He holds an MFA in Cinema from the Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts in Jordan.Hussen’s short films have been showcased at numerous international and local film festivals, including the Red Sea Film Festival, Drama International Short Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin, Oran International Film Festival, BUFF, Cinekid, Linz International Short Film Festival, and Côté Court. His work is known for exploring the complexities of human relationships, the fragility of life, and the surreal nature of bureaucratic practices. He is currently working on his debut feature film, Tide.Hussen’s projects have garnered support from institutions such as AFAC, DFI, Netflix, Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Île-de-France production funds.
