Sezim to mała dziewczynka, której ojciec, jej jedyny krewny, znika w tajemniczych okolicznościach. Nie wie ona, że mężczyzna nie żyje. Chcąc uchronić ją przed tą bolesną wiadomością, starszy sąsiad daje Sezim rybkę i przedstawia ją jako jej ojca. Dziecięca natura dziewczynki sprawia, że uczy się ona, jak właściwie dbać o rybkę, widząc w niej postać swojego taty. Sezim trudno jest jednak zaakceptować fakt, że najlepszym domem dla jej ojca nie jest już akwarium w pokoju, lecz oceany, morza i jeziora.

Sezim is a little girl whose father, her only relative, mysteriously disappears. She does not know that he is dead. Determined to protect her from this terrible news, the neighbor grandfather gives Sezim a fish and introduces it as her father. Sezim’s childlike cognitive nature encourages her to learn how to properly handle the fish in the guise of her father’s spirit. The girl finds it difficult to accept that her father’s best home is no longer the aquarium next door, but the oceans, seas and lakes.

Aizhamal Mirbek kyzy urodziła się w 2001 roku w Kirgistanie. W 2019 roku rozpoczęła studia na kierunku Radio, Telewizja i Kino na Wydziale Komunikacji Kirgisko-Tureckiego Uniwersytetu Manas.
Swoją drogę zawodową zaczęła w 2021 roku jako fotografka, a później rozwijała umiejętności jako operatorka i montażystka. Jest młodą twórczynią filmową, której prace odzwierciedlają jej unikalną perspektywę oraz pragnienie badania ludzkich emocji poprzez język kina. „Złota rybka” to jej film dyplomowy.
Aizhamal Mirbek kyzy was born in 2001 in Kyrgyzstan. In 2019, she enrolled at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, where she studied Radio, Television, and Cinema at the Faculty of Communications.
Aizhamal began her professional journey in 2021 as a photographer and later developed her skills as a cinematographer and editor.
She is a young filmmaker whose works reflect her unique perspective on the world and her desire to explore human emotions through the language of cinema. The Golden Fish is her graduation film.
